You may already have plans for how you'd like your ideal wedding day to unfold. One recent bride told us that when she was a pupil at Bollington Cross Primary School, next door to St Oswald's Church, she always dreamed of getting married here. Even though it was nearly twenty years later when she got engaged, her wish was able to be fulfilled because she had grown up here in our parish. If you currently live anywhere in Bollington or Kerridge, or if you live elsewhere but have had a family connection here, St Oswald's should be your first choice too!
We offer you a warm welcome, whether this is your first marriage and you wish to make your life-long vows in this holy place, or if perhaps for example you have now found true love second time around! Please feel free to join us at any of our Sunday or weekday services to come and see inside our lovely building with its excellent facilities, friendly congregation and comfortable chairs!
Please contact our Vicar Revd Canon Veronica Hydon to talk things through informally. She will invite you to meet with her as a couple 2 or 3 times usually at the Vicarage, then there will be a full rehearsal in church during the week leading up to your wedding day.
May God bless you with serenity and calm in this sometimes stressful time of busy preparation leading up to the wedding day! We look forward to welcoming you and your guests on the day for your marriage ceremony and we hope you will continue to consider yourselves to be a special part of our church community in the years that follow!
You might be surprised to discover that the standard fees for marrying in church may be lower than the standard fees for civil weddings at "Approved Premises" (other buildings licensed for weddings), especially for weddings at weekends.

Remember to add the fees for "Notices of Marriage" to the fees for civil marriage (equivalent to the fees for Banns that are included in the fees for church weddings).
Thank you so much for the lovely Wedding Service that you did for us... All of our friends remarked on how nice it was. The rest of the day was also perfect! (Jennie and Peter)
Thank you so much for the beautiful wedding ceremony you conducted for us... Everybody who attended commented on the fantastic service... Thank you again for being part of our special day. (Steve and Claire)
We both wanted to say thank you for conducting our wedding service. It was the perfect start to a perfect day and everybody commented on how lovely the church service was. (Emma and Damien)
We cannot begin to tell you how amazing the service was, and without doubt it was all down to yourself: we could not have wished for a better service!! Please also pass on our thanks to the choir and the organ player. Also to the whole congregation: when we visited on Sundays, we were made to feel so welcome. All I can say again is from the bottom of our hearts: THANK YOU SO MUCH! (Stuart and Laura)
And a local primary school pupil wrote (after a class visit to St Oswald's church):
Thank you for the visit to the church and thank you for the biscits and the drink. And long long ago my arntee got married there and I was a bridesmaid. Love from Juliet.
