Readings, etc Rota
There will be a service at 10.30am every Sunday except for Remembrance Sunday (when the main service will be earlier to fit in with the Parade and Act of Remembrance).
The normal pattern of Sunday worship is as follows. Please note that things may be a little different around major church festivals or on other special occasions, so always check the Coming up page for the latest information.
1st Sunday of the month
9.00am Holy Communion (said)
10.30am Family Service
3rd Sunday of the month
10.30 Family Communion
2nd, 4th and 5th Sundays of the month
10.30 Parish Communion
On the first Sunday of each month there is a more informal setting for our 10.30 Family Service when the sermon is interactive and the children offer the prayers and readings. On particular Sundays we are pleased to include Holy Baptism within the main service, or this can be a held at another time by arrangement with the Vicar. This service is normally not a Eucharist. more details
On the third Sunday of each month we welcome everyone, especially families with young children, to share in the less formal Holy Communion Service at 10.30. Young people will be encouraged to participate in this service by, for example, acting out a bible story, making music or assisting in leading prayers. There will often be some creative activity. There is also a permanent children's relaxation corner within the church for younger ones to enjoy playing or reading in sight of their parents or carers. Holy Baptism can be included within this service, or at other times by arrangement with the Vicar. You will be very welcome to stay for coffee/ tea/ juice/ sherry (and even sometimes cake) at the back of church after the service!
