Songs of Praise – Sing Along

A chance to sing along at home – some familiar favourites and some perhaps less well-known. We have put together some electronically generated music (the synthesised choirs can only sing “ooh” – they haven’t learned the words yet!) along with the words on screen so that you can join in.
Or just listen, if you prefer.

Some of the hymns are normally associated with specific festivals, seasons, sacraments or times of day. But, of course, you can play or sing them whenever you wish.

Many of the hymns were originally written as poems and only later set to music. It’s often worth taking time to read the words and contemplate their meaning – time that’s maybe not available during a service in church.

If you would like to see one of your favourite hymns added to the list, please send details on the form at the bottom of this page. But please note that copyright restrictions may prevent us from publishing the words to modern hymns (or modern words to old hymns – including some “inclusive” versions for which publishers have claimed copyright).
